Author: Vince Collins (All RIAForge projects by this author) Description:
cfEasyAlbum allows you to upload multiple photos at a time by leveraging SWFUpload, which is a flash-based upload handler. It also resizes your photos using the handy tmt_img.cfc. You also have the option to bypass this and ftp your resized photos directly to the site in which case cfEasyAlbum will automatically start displaying them.
There are three overall goals to this project: 1) Must be easy to install 2) Must not require a database 3) Must be easily integrated into an existing site Features: * Open Source * Change what you want or use it as is * Can stand alone or can be easily integrated into existing site in any directory * Multiple installs on same site, same server * No database/datasource required * Customizable look and feel * FTP folder of photos and the tool automatically recognizes and displays it as a new album * Fast * INI.cfm file allows you the change many settings * Unlimited Amount of Albums * Admin section* * Can upload using SWFUpload (a flash-based multiple file upload handler) * * Automatically converts SWFUpload into thumbnails, display and preserves original and creates album * * Optionally rename image files to a caption * * Added in version 1.01 10/04/2007 Coming Soon * Ability to change ini.cfm within admin instead of having to edit the file manually * Ability to upload logo * Consider the idea of caching entire directory of albums within the application scope to allow an even faster response Version History Version 1.01 - Released - 10/04/2007 * Newly added Admin section: o Can upload using SWFUpload (a flash-based multiple file upload handler) o Automatically converts SWFUpload into thumbnails, display and preserves original and creates album o Optionally rename image files to a caption.
